SPECIAL NEEDS IN THE PACIFIC
We are delighted to bring back, due to popular demand, the Palm Appeal t-shirt; a t-shirt which aims to raise funds for a little known charity that is very close to their hearts.
Imagine living in a society where there is a stigma towards children with special needs? Sadly, this is very much the case on the beautiful low-lying islands of Kiribati in the Pacific. But thanks to the Kiribati School and Centre for Children with Special Needs, 230 children are receiving the education that they deserve. But this noble work depends on funding from other countries which is why for every Palm Appeal t-shirt sold, Five Boys Clothing will donate £4. The monies raised will go towards hiring a school bus to pick up the children and get them to school every day.
The island inspired t-shirt comes in two colour ways; a cranberry red with a white print and a grey marl with a sunset effect both in ages 3 through to 14 (£15). Each organic cotton t-shirt is hand-screen printed in Bristol.
Sophia Walsh, co-founder of Five Boys Clothing, has roots in the Pacific so this important cause is very close to her heart. Sophia is half I-Kiribati (the term used to describe a person from the country of Kiribati) and still has many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends living in the far-flung, low-lying beautiful islands across the Pacific.
So what are you waiting for? Get the t-shirt and support a great cause!
